Camera
This switch takes effect as soon as it is pressed. The pomodoro timer is set up in the Pomodoro settings panel, and the notifications in the Notification settings panel.
Slouch detection
How far you may move away from the calibrated reference posture before the posture counts as a slouch. A smaller number holds you closer to the reference posture.
How much larger or smaller your face may look than at the reference posture, which is what leaning forward or back changes.
% of face size
How far your face may move to the left or to the right of the reference posture, across the camera picture.
% of width
Timing
How long a slouch must last without a break before the alert is raised. A shorter time reminds you sooner and more often.
seconds
How many counts you are given to settle into the posture that becomes the reference. One count lasts about one second.
counts
How often the posture is read while the monitor runs. A higher rate answers faster and asks more of the processor.
/ second
The two tolerances and the slouch time act on the very next reading. A new calibration countdown applies the next time you calibrate.
Pomodoro settings
The cycle starts as soon as this switch goes on, and stops as soon as it goes off. It takes effect at once rather than on save.
How long one work period counts down before a break comes next.
min
The break that comes after every work period, except the one that earns a long break.
min
The longer break that comes instead of a short break once the set number of work periods is finished.
min
How many work periods are finished before a long break comes instead of a short one.
The next period starts on its own. While this is off, a Start next period button waits beside the countdown.
No posture reading is taken and no slip is counted for the length of every break, because a break means leaving the chair.
A period already counting down keeps the length it started with. A new length applies from the next period.
Notification settings
This switch holds the notification permission of the browser and takes effect as soon as it is pressed. While it is off, no event notifies at all. While it is on, every event below notifies in the way it is set up.
Master volume
Turns every sound of the application down together, keeping the balance set between one event and another.
100%
A sustained slouch
The posture has stayed away from the calibrated reference.
70%
A corrected posture
The calibrated posture has been taken up again after a slouch. This event never shows a desktop notification: it only takes the notification of the slouch off the screen.
40%
A finished work period
A pomodoro work period has run out and a break comes next.
60%
A finished break
A pomodoro break has run out and a work period comes next.
60%
A sustained slouch plays its sound again and again while the slouch continues, growing louder the longer it lasts, whichever sound and volume it is set to.
